People want to read, see and experience Jesus ALIVE in us. Your living experiences with Christ is what draws others to truth. Everyone in today's time is a "Christian", the only way they will know the difference between the fake and the real deal is when they see Jesus moving in your life instead of you.
When I was much younger I use to believe that me blabbing a whole lot of Jesus while living a worldly life was me being a great instrument for God and His Kingdom. What I didn't realise was that I was more of an obstacle for people to experience the real Truth, Life and Light of Christ. I was in control, my flesh was not surrendered, my life and my heart was not given to the Lord, I was a fake.
Living and preaching this way I was leading other astray, they looked at me and believed that being a Christian means that you can still do and enjoy all the worldly things, just talk about how wonderful Jesus is. What does the Bible say about us leading others astray?
Matthew 18:6 "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."
2 Timothy 3:5 "Having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people."
Beloved sisters, today I stand before you with the key to a life that many look for but few find. I have discovered it in the Word in plain sight but I was blinded by my flesh.
If you want to discover the real deal, to experience Jesus Christ and truly live the straight and narrow way. The key to receiving this is "surrender". It sounds pretty simple, but let me ask you this... are you willing to surrender your life to God? All your plans, desires, hopes and dreams.. are you willing to give all your loves one's to God and say "Lord I choose You above all of it."
The test will come when you truly surrender your heart to the Lord. You will face some difficult choices but and if you choose God's will, people will start seeing more of Him in you and in your life. God shows up in surrender, He knows your heart, when He sees that you truly mean what you say, you will start seeing God move in your life in a way you never knew before.
John 3:30 "He must increase but I must decrease."
Today I encourage you to pray "Not my will Lord, but Your will be done." No matter how much you want something, this is when God will move, surrender your will "flesh" so that He can take control. Amen
